Good evening

Following the fast-moving development of the Coronavirus outbreak in recent times and the Government announcements today, the RFU has confirmed the suspension of all rugby activity until 14 April 2020. As you would expect, Exeter Athletic RFC will be upholding this directive. The RFU link below confirms matters.

The Board of Exeter Athletic will continue to review matters in line with Government and RFU recommendations and we will update our club community when there is another important step change in the resolution of this disease.

It is important we all maintain a good hearted, considered, measured and proportionate response to the challenges from the virus we will all face in the coming weeks. I know the core values of rugby will serve us well in this respect.

I am sure the recommended and well publicised basic precautions of hygiene, self-isolation and social spacing will continue as the best foundations to prevent and slow the progress of the disease.

Best wishes to you and yours.

Harry Langley
